Samford celebrates the spirit of Christmas on Saturday 2nd December. Christmas on Main Street will bring Samford Village to life from 5pm with a full evening of free entertainment and activities.  

Live music and street entertainment kicks off at 5.00pm and runs through until 8.30pm.

This is the perfect evening to come down to enjoy the best of Samford’s local talent, culinary delights and local stalls for unique Christmas gifts.

Community Bank Samford Stage @ John Scott Park

The centre stage at John Scott Park will shine with music and activity throughout the evening. Featuring  a full music program with Christmas carols / songs, Oz rock, jazz and swing, plus an interlude for the prestigious Samford Community award presentation by Samford & Districts Progress & Protections Association Inc. between 6.30 and 6.40pm

Bring your picnic rug and enjoy the music, awards and adjacent craft and community stalls from 5.00 – 8.30pm.

This popular event returns to sing your favourite Christmas carols, this year directed by choral director Sandra Milliken. Sandra is a highly experienced composer, arranger, conductor, teacher, & adjudicator. This 40+ voice community choir draws on singers from throughout the valley, presented by the Samford Progress Association.

Enjoy the high energy sound of the Moreton Bay Big Band on John Scott Park Stage. This eighteen-piece big band with talented vocalist Rose Salemanesa will present your favourite Christmas songs, along with some toe-tapping Oz rock classics, sensational swing tunes and jazz standards.

Much loved local identity Kate B teams up with top blues guitarist Alex McKean. They met at the Maleny Folk Festival eons ago. Expect quirky folk, blues, and Christmas songs quirky and blues songs accompanied by instrumentalists playing strings of many shapes including guitar, Celtic harp, ukulele, delightful vocals, and a gentle groove.

This is the place to be! In addition to live music, we have face painting, craft activities, clay ornament painting, a library stall and a Wishmas Tree. The fun is from 5.10pm onwards.
