The Village Pump

The Village Pump was established in 1977.  At the time, it was suggested that profits from advertising go towards establishing a museum in Samford.  Whilst that project came to fruition with the official opening of Samford Museum in 1986, the tradition of community support has continued, with proceeds from The Village Pump still being used for the benefit of the Samford community today. 

The Village Pump is published fortnightly by the Association and is an excellent source of local news and information, including upcoming local events.  A wide range of local businesses advertise in The Village Pump and the “Classifieds” section is very popular.   The Village Pump is delivered to Samford post office boxes and many homes and is also available for collection from the Samford Post Office.    For all enquiries, such as advertising rates, publication and copy submission deadlines, please contact The Village Pump:
